FRIENDSHIP
"Friendship is a wonderful gift that we give to ourselves.
Thats truly true. Sometimes we need a person that can give us a shoulder to cry upon or to understand us when evenwe cant understand ourselves. Sometimes when when we want to share something and want someone to hear us patiently even if its boring for the other person. Someone with whom we can share our laughter , our adventures, our sorrow and every other emotion that one can possibly think of. But we rarely find someone like that. And when we do, we just like to devote our hearts and minds to that person and expect the same from the other side. People often identify this as love but this is not. We really like the other person because s/he is the part of almost everything we do.
Finding a true friend is like searching for a shrub in a forest without any idea what the shrub looks like. You fail many times but you have to keep experimenting to get the GIFT. You just come to know gradually that this is that shrub you were looking for. After you get that shrub you realize that the shrub was just behind your back all the time, only it did not show the qualities it shows now.
FRIENDSHIP is not one sided, friends have to have the emotions and feelings that their friend has for them. Or else the friendship is meaningless for both of them.
It takes a lot of time to identify who your friend really is. S/he has to go through many tests to qualify for that, and once s/he does that , its your turn to show you are a true friend also. And you dont try to show it deliberately; if you are really a true friend it will automatically be visible to your friend through your actions. And then the friendSHIP starts to sail, going along and many a times against the waves, reaching different destinations, passing through giant icebergs and facing icy freezes to the fireball right above your head, literally boiling you up. There are several smooth rides too, when the sea is all calm letting you to sail freely, small fishes and dolphins accompanying you all the while and dwarf waves playing games with you. And the roller coaster journey never ends, even after the sailors retire, until unless the ship gets rusted or sinks or breaks down. Many of them do, but the most powerful of them bonded by love, care and affection doesn`t. Never. It lasts forever...
